Aladdin

alone one night
in his living room
the lamp came to life
appearing to bloom

a peaceful aura
breathing out
the inner spirit
without a doubt

it all became one
and smiled back
sharing a subtle truth
an inside track

with eyes wide open
pouring out love
he found tears of joy
released from above

A very interesting and much underrated poem--I love those oh so rare times I've experienced 'satori' [even wrote a poem about it!]

I appreciate everyone’s comments. This poem was once titled “Aladdin: story of satori”. Satori refers to the sudden, direct realization of one’s true nature, which instantly changes how reality is experienced. Thank you :)

... Now I see ( had to check Google)- satori is the ultimate comfort of knowing one's self without struggle, freed from usual constaints. M. L, your whole poem flows angelically. Congratulations on its beautiful write and worthy Win!
