Ain't nuthin' to it.

Ain’t nuthin’ to it.

It’s simple to write.
It’s harder to be right.
As I fly into my dreams on this dreary night,
I dream of being alive.

Right now I live in a self-made cell.
It’s Hell! I tell you, but what the Hell.
I’m used to it.
It’s a perfect fit,
For my heart-shaped hole is missing a bit.

Well it’s more than a bit,
It’s quite a lot really.
This is why my stories are sadly, teary.
Rain falls from my eyes like the weather at night.
It’s hard to keep life easy.

I don’t talk about good love.
I don’t wish for a bud.
I exist in this bubble of content,
Which nobody can touch.

If you want me to be more than this,
Then I apologize profusely, if you wish.
Trapped here fading into the distance.
Too soon to disappear without leaving a remembrance.

I hate my life.
I would have loved a wife,
But that will never be,
Because of me.

I don’t have time for love. Do you see?
I can’t use a line that isn’t tattooed in ink.
I want to tell her she leaves me speechless.
In pieces, can’t think, so chance is gone to the abyss.

My head only sings the sad songs.
It wallows in misery for oh so long.
Now this tale is approaching the end.
Thank you for your time.
If I wasted it, then I apologize, my friend.

Never enough said.
I never gave her my best.
All I have left are a thousand missed opportunities,
And a useless life of regrets.
