Ah What a Rest
Ah, what a rest, from all kinds of stress and even success,
For what use is success, when it disturbs our rest, and ceases our blessed quietness,
And what use is fame, if it’s mired in shame, and it tempts us to pain while we’re in the fast lane,
But contentment so sane, oh now there’s quite a gain, and an end to the strain that seems to pester the brain,
So a life of joy, that’s true without ploy, is truly what God’s all about,
For the path of peace, where rest does not cease, is no doubt the most blessed route.
