Ageless

Proceeding in this life I've faltered
to reach the nearby stars unaltered

A glimpse of reality came too soon
as I traveled around the moon

For whom would become my bride
would only travel with me for half a ride

Our true love glimpse would meet it's match
over harmful words that couldn't patch

For what my friend the unicorn didn't know
is that you cannot play with fire in the snow

And neighboring trolls they may run and hide
but in the end they want your hide

So as my life nears it's final curtain
all I remember are the days of satin
