Aged Beauty

Yes, my sweet, I shall not lie about the lines just near your eyes,
But they do show your character, one of which you can’t deny.
The heart you shared within your life, may have not been returned,
But know, my dear, you did your best, you’re an angel, so I’ve learned.

It’s fantastic, how the problems of others, you always seem to bear;
Letting go of all you want, instantly, just because you care.
You always do for others before anything can be done for you,
Telling the world around us of your love, that’s oh so true.

The beauty that surrounds you, that many others can see, too,
Is also from the beauty within, the beauty that is you.
The weight, you think has been put on, is not as you would see
For you are truly beautiful, yes, and in all ways to me.
