Aged and Allergic

Soup Friends...

I thought I would share what my daughter send me this morning. She has poetry on here but doesn't come on much anymore.

Sara

Ralph Waldo Emerson

April winds are magical
and thrill our tuneful frames.
The garden-walks are passional
To bachelors and dames.

My(Doris' poem) counter poem for the allergic and arthritic persons.

April winds are nemesis
and chill our achy frames.
Garden walks become treacherous
to aged and their flames.

Love,
Doris

Deborah, Thanks for your comment and letting me know you got a chuckle out of this one. I think Doris is very creative in the second poem which she wrote. Sara

Juliet, I think there is talent and latent talent in my family that never has been tapped. Thanks for your kind visit. Sara

Sara, It's nice what two can share in a day. From heartthrob aches and pains, to an excerpt from Emerson's April. My best wishes for the day for you & Doris. And Toto too. -Richard

Victor, Doris loves art more than writing. She is not able to do as much as she once did also. I think she might post one every once in awhile. Doris Culverhouse. Sara

Sara, great poem from Doris and the Card she sent you. One feel the years going by Elias and I are 6 months apart so my husband says i must listen to him because he is Big Brother! Hope you had a relaxing loving Easter Sunday. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Jennifer, My husband and I are 4 years and 1 week apart. I see how aging has affected him and I know that I probably will go through the same things as I follow along unless God calls me home before it happens to me. Sometimes though I see aging in myself that hasn't happened to him yet. Thanks for your visit. Sara

Harry, We are all okay so far. Doris and her husband had the virus in or around November of last year. They both have had their first vaccination so I hope they won't have it again. Doris said the virus was no piece of cake by any means. Sara
