Age Doesn'T Matter When You'Re In Love

Isn't age just a number?
Does it really mean a lot to you?
Does your age hold you back?
From anything you want to do?
Does age change your feelings?
Define exactly how one should feel
It doesn't change who you are
But it keeps everything seemingly real
So when you meet that special someone
And they're older or younger than you
Age shouldn't make a difference
When your feelings for each other are true
There are many who have an opinion
And they'll often voice their view
Trying to discredit your love
When they haven't even a clue
So when in fact in love you fall
Of your age you shouldn't fear
Age doesn't matter when you're in love
As long as you're sincere

A timely piece well penned - despite coming from wrong side of ditch. Maybe there is a Kiwi connection somewhere. Best regards from David in NZ
