Agapanthus

Agapanthus Tall Agapanthus in the Nile you once grew, A river flower of sapphire blue, Bursting from your cozy pod Smiling as you nod On thin stems; Hello Summer’s gem Blooms in warm weather, The season’s sweet love letter, Dainty flowers of azure or white Grows in garden shadows or brightest sunlight. 6-26-2019

Wow what a beautiful tribute to a joyous flower....as a self employed gardener I'm blessed to witness yards of Agapanthus in gravel paths and borders. On a rainy grey day your words brought back the joy they bring....thanks

The Agapanthus was brought from Turkey to England by a very distant cousin of mine over one hundred years ago. The root of the name is "agape" which, in Greek, is divine love. Thank you for your lovely message and your congratulations.

Agapanthus sounds like a name thought up by you, or maybe Dr. Seuss! It's beautiful, though (just googled it). Just wanted to drop back by and offer a floral congratulations, Sam. Bouquets of olés!

Hi Paula. Thank you for your best wishes and congratulations. Agapanthus originated in Turkey and it turns out a very distant relative brought to England about 100 years ago. Makes it special.

Gorgeous tribute to a unique flower, Sam. I noticed there was a pattern to your syllable count and shape which I have to assume was intentionally created. All the more appreciated by a numbers guy like me! Well done, friend.

Hi Connie, Agapanthus grows like a weed in my garden in both blue and white. Just discovered that a long lost relative from the Montagu family in England cultivated it from the mediterranean area. Aloha to you!
