Carlene Simpson Poet Couplet

Again Rejected

Ohh why?! 
My life's lullaby! 
Its not as if I didn't try 
With all my charms to catch his eye 
But he just sighed and walked on by. 

How I wish that he could see 
The potential soul-mate that is me 
The way that we could really be 
Together forever eternally
 
He left me sad and feeling blue 
My feelings sturred, my anguish true 
With faded breathe and trembling knees 
I extend my heart, take it, PLEASE! 

But for now, I roam, wild and free 
If destiny is, for us to be 
Then one day, MY LOVE 
Will surely find me.
