Again

She did it again… slapped with impudence… again …
Nature is rejoicing in my agony,
Feeding on my misery.
Can’t it be… Oh! The inequity!
Oh! The tyranny & treachery!
The hurt is enveloping my whole
It is melting away my soul
I will not yield, I will turn the other cheek
Wait for the pain to seep
Away in the depth of oblivion
I’ll resist again Nature’s relentless poison…
Again, again, & again…
