Again

It hurts this heart when we’re apart
It starts from that first goodbye
and lasts until she’s in my arms again
until I can see her with my eyes again
I’m living my weeks
for that one glorious day
when I get to see her
The greatest reward for carrying on
day after day
is that feeling I get
when her head’s on my shoulder
when I can finally hold her again
