Aftermath
Aftermath
Disconsolate murmurs of tender scar
Which speaks the aftermath of the war
A war that cometh from the inner souls
Promulgating within like drastic moles.
Beleaguered inmost by pride that stings
Incessant woe to the eyes that mourns
And all the specters left undying
Beneath the harnessed tormented lawn.
The painful wail clasped the air
As silence lingers the atmosphere
And in this fecund turf of life
Were all the wreckage left by strife.
And as this page of chapter comes to end
So all the moments which hold a mem’ry
Into oblivion let zephyr send
To copious land of Canterbury.
