After Today

I've walked through the darkest deserts and valleys, throughout my life. Here I am still standing, after strife. Forgiven, a second chance. Losing it all in a split second, at first glance. What is the reason for so much pain? In the end, is it all in vain? Maybe we are not meant to understand everything. Unable to erase anything. Forbidden tears, clueless for years. Its difficult not to react emotionally, during this fight. To be angry and disappointed, the cause of my plight. At times wishing to give up once and for all. Before every fall. No more sorrow, hoping for a brighter tomorrow. Its hard to have self control, what I said, I now regret. Sometimes wondering why we met. I'm grateful for my children, they're an endless blessing. In the middle of this gray and cloudy day, not stressing. I receive what I cannot see, only by faith, every time. For I only have one life, and its mine. Betrayal should be a crime. Lifting my head up today. Even if it doesn't go my way. No longer caring about what people say.
