Rainfall falls so quickly, and heavy 
High water overflowed the river levee 
Causing widespread damage. 
Heartbreak and very difficult to manage. 

The streets turn into deep flowing rivers. 
Cars submerged in the water shivers. 
Few people injured or died in flash flood runoff 
Until the torrential rain tappers off. 

After, the aftermath disaster communities call-out 
Finding strength from the despair that sprout. 
All begin to clean up helping each other out. 
Inspiring kindness and assistance throughout.

Nice work, Eve, and a great use of rhyme... It is always so good to see neighbors helping neighbors when a natural disaster occurs... This indeed makes me feel less alone in the world :)

Great poem that showcases your care for people and the humsn conditions both people and animals of all kinds disasters suffer thriugh Sometines it tahes a disaster, for people to realize community precedes individuality!great job. pangie xx
