After Sunset

The reddened riot of wine-rich sun Spills over skies of afternoon, And purpling-reds of the day now done Splash!--then dissolve, so soon. And sunset turns a violet grey Mixing with twilight’s magic blur, Revealing the fairy-shapes at play, Listen!--to wings’ soft whir.
