After My Father
I walk in your footsteps
Even though you are long gone
I see the path you have laid down for me
Even though you are long gone
I find secrets in your corner
That my mind does not want to comprehend
You tell me little stories
Even after you are long gone
Of journeys you wanted me to take
Of life's hopes for me
Long after you are gone
I have finally found you
When at last I thought
You did not care
My new found memories
Shall remain forever
