After Laughter
Laughter seems to have faded
From this world once known,
It has become more a strange thing
As people around just moan.
Laughter has been silenced
By strains and stress of life,
The fast pace of living
With woes and griefs of strife.
People lost time for laughter
Leaving it to the past
‘Comedy of Errors’ was written
For First Elizabethan caste.
Laughter for ancients
That lived their lives in mirth
Youngsters of today
Have forgotten laughter’s worth.
