After All

To live with a hope Of a love that won’t come true, Is what you have asked me to do. – Forget all of yesterday’s joys that I knew And go through this life without you. The love that we shared For so long has lost its glow. The embers have all died away. But, memories haunt me and love tries to grow, In embers that burned yesterday. Heartaches still linger deep inside my heart – Why has destiny’s door chose to keep us apart? My heart will remember the love that we knew And, after all, I still love you.
