Afraid To Love

Fears, they swirl, streaming through my heavy mind,
Winding like a web of lies, malign lines intertwined.
Soul to soul, I search for someone to share each sorrowful day,
I grasp at strings, at the changes they bring,
but I’ve found they seldom stay.
