Afraid of Love
I see her almost every day,
And now I know I must convey
That my dreams and I concur,
That she is flawless like a pearl.
The way she turns and looks at me,
Her face so sweet that I can see
Her blue eyes which reflect the light,
That shines on me with such delight.
She tells me not what I must know,
To stop the dreams that haunt me so
For I must now resign myself,
To put my feelings on a shelf.
There’s nothing I can do,
But smile at her and bid adieu.
For she knows not the way I feel,
For all my dreams remain concealed.
