Afraid No More

You've taken all my fears away
And calmed my troubled mind
You gave me hope you gave me peace
When no peace I could find

When all my troubles crowded in
And I was sore afraid
You helped me see they weren't so big
Not the monsters I had made

“Your fear wont last forever”
You softly said to me
As you brushed away my tears
From my monsters set me free

You put your arms around me
You took away my pain
I felt so safe as you held me
That no panic could remain

You gave me strength to face my fears
To look them in the eye
To tell them “I'm not scared of you”
And wave those fears goodbye

So now I am afraid no more
And if they come back again
I will think of you and face my fears
And watch them wax and wane

So now you have my gratitude
For all you've done for me
For how you helped me to be strong
For how you set me free
