Advice To My Children
Never trust a pretty face
Nor ever a sweetened tongue,
Judge not a book by its cover
Nor a song until it's sung;
Never go by the tell-tales
Nor rumours like bumble bees,
Learn to listen to your heart
And to others fervent pleas;
Never mix with a miser
Nor be in company bad,
These are faces of Satan
They'll leave you forlorn and sad.
Get experience from others
With books and poetic rhymes,
Believe not who sell their souls
They'd sell you a million times
Do speak well of your elders
And those who are ranked above,
Parents must be respected
You must give them all your love;
You choose not your family
But life let's you choose your mate,
Choices will ever be yours
Know they will decide your fate;
All prayers are important
In temples or in your heart,
Those who pray for their brethren
For selves they never need cart.
Life is full of miracles
Its magic will let you be,
Kings & Queens of its kingdom
Have faith till eternity.
