Adversity Was God’s Tool Of Choice

At times God has lead me,
where days were dark and unsettled.
While I experienced these times,
I was always found somewhat nettled.
It’s only when I’ve been dissatisfied,
weak, or experienced another failing.
That my heart sought comfort,
from adversity that was prevailing.
Adversity was God’s tool of choice,
suffering, I moved past my ability to cope.
Through adversity, I allowed God in,
I needed someone to cast me a rope.
“Nearly all men can stand adversity,
but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”
