Adieu to April
April tries her best to fool us
When she makes her gay debut.
The next thirty days she spends
Trying her best to make amends
For ling'ring cold and frequent showers
With budding trees and fragrant flowers.
Then ere she gaily flits away,
She opens wide the door for May.
