Addiction's Promises

Never get hooked on promises,
because you'll never get higher than the first.
Don't you get addicted to promises,
they'll always leave you dying of thirst.

I'd look into her eyes,
but she's so hypnotic.
She will pull you in,
she will make you cry.

She's the epitome of evil,
she hovers like an eagle.
Can't you hear her screaming,
don't go falling for her sigh.

She promised you the moon,
but where you gonna put it?
You've fallen for so many,
they're just not what they seem.

They taste so good in your mouth,
but they turn poison in your belly.
Don't you fall for her sighs,
learn your lessons from her scream.

I'd look into her eyes,
but she's so hypnotic.
She will pull you in,
she will make you cry.

She's the epitome of evil,
she hovers like an eagle.
Can't you hear her screaming,
don't go falling for her sigh.
