Addiction

You say you wanna feel high to numb the pain,
Leaving your loved ones to dry the stain
Your actions, on others lives they do embark
Leaving them with little to lead you from the dark
Maybe those actions are not of your will
Stuck in an over loaded emotional state, ready to spill
You’re breaking down the walls unseen
Feeling like the worlds caving on the in between
Stuck in the delusions of addiction
Out to get you is the feeling from the friction
The help only you can take
No one can beg you just for their sake
To change you must be willing and want
Sobriety is a life that no one else can taunt
