Addict

Your rise to the top was as quick as a gazelle
I have to say it was a surprise to see how far you fell
But you got lost
Got hypnotized
You couldn’t break the spell
Swept out to sea
Dragged down by the undertow
You let your addiction swell
Played it smooth
Thought no one would be able to tell
But one day you looked in the mirror
What you saw looking back at you was as clear as a bell
The mirror doesn’t lie
You looked like hell
There are only a couple of endings to this story for you
Rehab, death or in a jail cell
The choice is yours
I have said enough
All I can do now is wish you well

wow this is interesting and its 'story' is true for anyone...its beginning, its middle and its end are very much true...in every line you write it mirrors someones life and their life needs to be heard...i love it and quite frankly your poetry is so real in its words and meanings they are beautiful and interesting and that is wat makes a 'story' more readable and that is wat makes a 'story' worth reading over and over again.... Ciara=)

Good writing. You've got it pegged. It happens to the best that get involved in that sooner or later. Sara
