Across the Meadow

The sun
A pleasant thing
Across a meadow
Its’ light
Did glow

Soft grass whispered
In the wind
Meadow flowers swayed
The sun shone
The colour played

Across the meadow
I saw you there
So fair
Sunlit hair
Sunlit glow

My love inside
You will know
You felt it
Across the meadow
You felt it grow

My heart whispered to you
Across the meadow
You felt its’ glow
You looked too

Across the meadow
Lovers meet
Lovers entwined
Lovers glow
Across the meadow
