Across the Land

Across the endless mountains a young brave looks out across the land.
As far as he could see,
The Great Spirit had given the Cheyenne this land for eternity.
Their homes and and villages were nestled in these hills,
And with the coming of the White man these hollowed
Grounds had blood from both spilled.
Would those difference ever change and can peace ever be,
Will there be a time when both sides can speak of peace and
agree.
The brave warrior from long ago looks down at the land he loved so.
He wonders if they would find the answer this time,
To save the past and secure The future for all kind.
