Why, thank you, Sara B. The acorns are falling and falling with every breeze, rustle of the leaves, drip of rain or dew. I hear them falling the whole night through. Sara K

The contrast between the acorn bouncing up six inches in the breeze through the red oak tree almost reminded me of a baby at the foot of an ancestor, I love the short, sweet poetic strength and imagery it left upon my imagination :) <3

Why, thank you, Bj, for putting so much thought into this one. Well, it could be that a baby at the feet of an ancestor wondering if they would be as tall, straight and strong. Thanks for visit and nice review. Sara K

My kind of haiku, Sara. Apt descriptions, very atmospheric and nuanced sweep. I like the use of red on the third line. Thank you for congratulating me on your recent visit to my page, Howard

I am glad it did not hit me on the head, Kim. It didn't roll far because there are too many leaves to slow it down. Thanks for the visit. Sara K
