Notes About The Poem

ACHING

Last I met you last night at last.
Painful humble hearts wished to greet
each other saying ‘we will meet
again, our love will ever last.’

Our lingering urge is melting in
    ebullient mutual crave.
Broken hearts try to pretend brave.
Word ‘last’ not to speak or listen.

   Once promised life-long unison
How can I bid you adieu!
This night our last meet! Is it true?
      Our destiny or decision?

    Our last night staying together!
Not to believe, not to admit.
    My amour will never permit
    you to walk away forever.

You won my heart, can you forget?
Yet, not sure, as love knows no law.
As support to clutch the last straw.
You are leaving but I will wait.
