Aches and pains

I have so many aches and pains.
It really is not fair.
As I have so many.
I really ought to share.
Because I have so many!
I’m sure I’ve more than my fair share.
My pressure mattress has been working.
All through the blinking night.
Usually when it is I do feel alright.
But after a doze this morning I woke at 2 AM.
I had so many aches and pains.
Could not get back to sleep again!
Now it is 5 AM how slow the time does go.
I still have my aches and pains.
I thought you would like to know.
I take plenty of tablets.
My morphine, I did not.
As don’t want to be reliant.
Or addicted to that lot.
So I put up with my aches and pains.
Am I really such a clot?
Please do not all answer yes I am.
Because I think I am not.
Now I will put my computer on.
To pass an hour or two.
Then I’ll try and get up.
Yes, that’s what I will do.
For now I will stop writing.
As on the Internet I go.
And see if I can paste this.
On Poetry Soup, you know.
So all  you, can share my tale of woe.
Have a better day than me.
My hot flask is cold you see.
It is almost, as blinking cold as me.
So I’ll keep warm in my bed.
Yes you heard right that’s what I said.
Goodbye, goodbye.  Hello, hello.
I think now I’m off my head.
