Accidental Faith
Born of parents who hoped in the cross
By faith a title 'Christian' am stamped
But as years flew, the mind unsettled -
On a single faith but probed for truth.
Jesus wise a man of grit but meek
Who placed love before own death
Even an atheist would love him still
For he spoke of justice & love alone
Religion lost its charm walled by men
Somany gods claimed its walls to hide
Many waged wars over the caged gods
Only the dead realise it's a hollow cage.
Wise men always are born to reclaim
Our lost values and spread only love
But world never ready to wisdom share
But we go on holding our selfish flags.
We make religions world's worst snare
To catch souls by fear and promise
Making them immune to kill or curse
god as cause killed more than all wars.
Love is lost to bigoted self and pride
Justice is lost to myths and deities
We refer these to fit our power games
As majority gathers muscle and rein.
Citizens, let's not be callous and rude
We are born in faiths we never chose
There isn't a choice in mom's womb
Than nestle in it's warmth and grow.
