Accepting Reality

Memories in photos, like film clips play,
this longing and sadness forever to stay.

Cascading tears like raindrops fall,
when life, us together, I risk to recall.

A tattered soul, these cruel winds of pain,
hard to accept what feels so insane.

Reality drifts, on each passing day,
the love of my life, has passed away.

I started writing when my husband became ill. Keep writing through your grief Mark.
