Accept Me
I lay alone.
The warmth of earth,
And the people, escaping me.
My skin is ice,
My cheeks are pale.
The breath hurriedly escaping me.
Hair is falling, with every step that I had taken.
The steps of life, I have mistaken.
Alone I lay.
On a bed of cold stone.
No one here to save me.
My life I have given
To save a man.
A man of no specialty.
He took my life, and left me.
My breath and heart beat escaping me.
Here I lay, on a bed of cold stone.
The warm earth accepting me.
