Accelerated Time

The lies being told to
our vision are like 
movie scenes
Big smoke screens
clouding our dreams
& invading our psyche
This might be a test
from the emergency
broadcast system being 
sent from above
Above the understanding
of some maybe
but I have faith the whole
of the world hasn't
gone crazy
Not crazy at all
just too lazy to search
for answers on the other
end of the call
Oh how the mighty
have fallen down to an
earth full of those that
don't recognize their worth
Lost in the illusion of
curses & spells
that spell doom
in bold letters
The old feathers from
your wings flow to the
ground the way cursive
used to scribble around
How will the pages
of history sound to a
deafened generation
drowning in AI's tools?
Fools for an unreal world
that caters to thrills
at the expense of
meaningful time
Drunk on the fine wine
of convenience 
with no idea of the
ideas that lie in store
It may cost more than
you reckon in a time
where jewels can't be seen
as the world's going it blind
Rewind to a time when
pearls of wisdom were still
in a shell before
being cast to swine
Was ignorance really bliss
when all you cared about
was if your bacon was crisp?
What's next to be consumed
on your spinning plates?
More jealousy 
greed
envy & hate?
What of the enmity
between you & another
or you and your
disassociated state
of mind?
Are we really still
stuck in a time where
a fictional clock is
the only thing in
everybody's mind?
