Academic Athletic Meeting
Kids are playing in the back
Trying to score something on what they call an attack
Going left to right
Experiencing an aggressive feeling plight
Moving right to left
No need for a flag or a ref
Exercising competing in a fair style
School books on the sidelines in a pile
A goal is earned
Nothing to be concerned
Where do you find class?
Kicking a peaceful pass
Raising a hand having a right answer
Dreaming of curing cancer
A friendly message about raising the bar
By setting something up for the star
Testing an ego if things are going too far
Nobody around
Only the children recreational sound
Being friends
Nothing needs defense
Only an attitude to your best
And a handshake before the rest
Being good
Or doing what you should
Is the priority
In explaining a story
Success can be seen on a lighted board
Maybe after a roast beef dinner and an award
But it truly comes from inside
When it is respected how much one tried
Calling it a game
Giving it a name
Memorizing dates from long ago
And people who were in the know
Planning what to do
Is up to you
Activities that are fun
Can hold a lesson when they are done
Creating a discussion in the classroom where it is worth a ton
