Abyss
View the world with a flash of light,
Yet every corner has a dark blight.
Infectious it spreads within perception,
Abusing the thoughts to a point of deception-
Tis just an abyss of belief-
Hope, passion, lost due to lack of relief.
Note:Entered this in the word I hate the most contest and didn't realize it said "4-6 couplets" I only wrote 4-6 lines. I apologize for that read the rules wrong.
