Abuse

I lived in a world of eternal sunshine
I wanted to experience the rain

So I ran to where the clouds were gray

I felt a drop upon my hand
With naive eagerness, I craved for more
But what I received
exceeded what I had planned

Soon I was engulfed
in an inescapable storm
pure malevolence, irreparable harm

blinded by darkness,
seized by control

preyed on my innocence
murdered my spirit
captured my soul

At last I was set free
but frozen in time

I no longer want to feel the rain
I have forgotten how the sun shines
