Abuse

ABUSE
Author: mindy55
Put your face to the mirror
And what do you see
You can see you and you can see me

Put your face to the mirror
And what do you see
You can see your life passing by
Oh how can this be

Put your face to the mirror
And what do you see
signs of abuse
And it the making of your family tree

Put your face to the mirror
And what do you see
Your child is crying
And saying mommy and daddy please,

Put your face to the mirror
And what do you see
You see abuse in your pass
And you pray God set me free

Put your face to the mirror
And what do you see
You wish to rebuild your life
So you start planting new seeds

Put your face to the mirror
And what do you see
Again you see you
And you can see me

Put your face to the mirror
And now what do you see
Free from abuse
And peace on you and your
Children face
And that the way it should be

About this poem:
I wrote this poem when one of my friends was abused by her husband and she finally got help and got out on her own. The part where it says ,you can see me and you can see you. That mean abuse sometimes is hiden in our familys. Beware.
