Absorbed Goodbye
absorb my tears oh river of life
carry them to oceans by and by
to every sweet creature let them drink
and allow this weary soul to sink
my eyes grow ever anxious to pour
relief and reverie to your silent shore
may living waters carry forth my pain
streams rising in steams to bring forth rain
thunderous forces repel on the rivers
lightnings bear the earth that quivers
no shelter i need—no let me bleed
cut me open as tears willfully proceed
alas the eyes can bear no warmth
ripped open dry from the wanted storm
i needed them to be absorbed
i wanted them to dismember abhorred
dispel my ache oh treacherous death
let me lie inside your parched caress
to every fossil deprived of life
rub me dry in absorbed goodbye
