Above One's League

Haughty, proud
Looking down
Face twisted in disgust
Seeing them
On the rim
Of shine turning rust
Believed above
The influence of
Pestilence's lust
Til they reach
And suddenly breach
The wall of unbroken trust
That was laid
To keep at bay
The swarm of worried fuss
Thought to be
Above one's league
Til drowned in pestilence's lust.
