Above a Stream

Above a stream not too far; blue light flashed!
Kingfisher zooming, calling, piping, heard!
Aquamarine, rare sighting, quick, it dashed!
     It returned piping, again... disappeared,
     out of sight still piping!
     Ducks beneath a weeping
     willow tucked up sleeping.
                            Fragile willow
        All sunlit, glow,
          with the stream flow.
Shattered the calm with their dreadful branches.
          Ripples meandering down, all whisper
their joy, me prostrate on the bank, were heard,
                            their rippled prose.
