Ein letztes Leuchten 
Abendsonne über der Stadt
Wie goldenes Laub

---------------------------------

A last gleam
Evening sun over the town
Like golden foliage

----------------------------------

Un último destello
Sol de la tarde sobre la ciudad
Como follaje de oro

Carolyn Devonshire Date: 11/1/2010 5:37:00 PM Forgive me, Gert, but you triggered thoughts of fishing. Just as that "last gleam" is sinking below the horizon, the fish start biting. Very beautiful image of the town and foliage in the background, but for me the fish are in the forefront. The German version has a very melodious quality to it as well. Excellent!
