Abandoned Or Abandoned?

Stories, stories that was told on to me, "A woman so pretty, with her flawless eyes. Soft lips, clear skin and her hair dancing tonight." My reflection, grudgingly I dared not to peek, In my shadow that lady was me, But I've waited so long with such zeal. And finally today I turn eighteen! I advance towards the mirror room And from first glance, My heart, It bloomed. "M-mother, you're beautiful but-" My heart is pounding, The tears won't stop. "why did you leave me..Why did you go? Screaming at a lady I have yet to know. My dearest, Wherever you may be, I'm sorry that they took you, Away from me. The love of a mother will always run deep, And nights are where I fail to sleep. To feel your touch, I'd give the world, And in my prayers, I speak your name. I don't have long for no one's time's the same. If somehow you find me near, I plea you forgive me And wipe thy tear. Life was a game And I played it through, With the regret of losing you. There are shadows, I dread and hope you don't meet, That battered before, I turned eighteen. I was an addict. Young and free. Enticed by the drugs, I fell in deep. When I learned about my girl, I turned a blind eye. But I was already embroiled in the game. They thrust me to the ground again. Stumped on my stomach, They spat on my face, Said I had no choice That this was the life that I made. Before I could hide you, Before I could fight, The authorities took you, Before you came into sight.
