A Yesterday Place

Imperceptible
              footsteps
in curious
               shadows,
buildings
             drizzled-wet,
smoked blackened
casement spider-
                         webbed
bedeck
        the worn-out windows:
dust&voices
         in empty streets,
vagueness
banality all around-
a transient
nocturnal breeze
surrounds
the dying
             diadem
relic of the once
opulent
           rich
