A Year To Be Grateful
It's always good to look back and check
especially on 12 months past from today
as a Christian see what God's been doing
if nothing at all then maybe I'm clay
But thankfully that is not the case
God has been at work showing His hand
guiding and leading by His blessed word
bringing hope and grace so I can stand
Taking us along to a new church
where we're taught well so biblical
receiving encouragement and inspiration
being fed on God's bread so practical
As I still receive six monthly tests
for prostate cancer treatment has past
results have kept low which praise God
His hand has blessed me to the last
Having this year found stammer worse
needed new therapy to get back on track
receive new confidence to visit coffee shops
now feel so grateful to God my control is back
(A look over the past year to be grateful to God for His hand continually be upon my life, most of the piece is spoken in the singular as it effected me but in stanza 3 it involves my wife Christine and I when we moved church.)
