A Year Ago
It was just a year ago...
the skies were blue,
the seas did roar,
the tree who grew
and crows that cowl.
the bells would ring,
the wind would sting,
the snow would fall,
the rodents would crawl
the shifting earth,
the uplifting soul,
that childish mirth,
or that muddy puddle and hole.
I had my kiss,
I had my share,
I had my ride,
I had my hair.
I had my heart,
I had my strength,
I was but smart,
I took things to lenght.
But that was just a year ago...
