A World Within
This sunlit room may have seen my yesterday
But today is a never ending spring of ideas
My old window or should I say looking glass
Knew the old, bent me
This space I’m in reminds me to keep steady on firm ground
To close the blinds when the sun shines too bright
When the lives of others suffocates me
This room knows chaos
From tears that have no name
To tears just happy to be in a new place
Oh, maddening ways
This sunlit room seems to be a poets dream or a readers race
See, the looks I give speak volumes
And somehow they all know I can’t be bothered
To them it is a sunlit room
For myself, I see a world within
