What a wonderful thing is an elephant,
He is savvy and witty and eloquent,
He remembers your name and he'll never forget
Everything that you said every time that you met,
What a wonderful thing is an elephant.
What a wonderful thing is a kangaroo,
She is chipper and dapper and happy, too;
She bounces and dances, she's never a grouch,
And her Joey gets dizzy inside of her pouch,
What a wonderful thing is a kangaroo.
What a wonderful thing is a wallaby,
If I could I think that's what I'd wanna be,
Though I don't know a whole lot about them, I fear,
Do they have bushy tails, do they have furry ears?
Well I still think that I'd like to be a wallaby.
What a wonderful thing is a killer whale,
The fin on his back looks just like a sail,
He can swim in the ocean so fast and so hushed
And it takes him all day for his teeth to get brushed,
What a wonderful thing is a killer whale.
What a wonderful thing is a little girl
She wears a cute bow with her pretty curl
She brightens your world in her own special way
When she smiles you get goose bumps that won't go away,
What a wonderful thing is a little girl.
What a wonderful thing is a little boy
He brings to his parents a lot of joy
And his grandparents love him and so do each cousin
His uncles and aunties all think the world of him
What a wonderful thing is a little boy.
What a wonderful world the Lord has made,
All the colors and shapes brilliantly arrayed
All the critters and planets and oceans and trees
All the seasons and flavors, the you's and the me's
What a wonderful world the Lord has made.
